Komal is passionate about exploring the various aspects of Indian Classical
Music and to be a performing artist as well as a keen learner. Komal is also
passionate about taking the responsibility of promotion and preservation of
Indian classical music through various events organized by the organization
"Kalanidhi", formed by her in laws, Smt. Aparna Gurav and Shri. Milind Gurav.

● Musical Training & Education :
Growing up in a musical family, Komal was always fond of music.
Her interest and velour in music radiated through her participation in various
musical dramas since childhood. As a child, Komal got trained under Ha. Bha. Pa.
Keshavbuva Shivdekar and there after performed Kirtans at various occasions earning
her awards and resonating applaud from the audience.
Thus began her journey with music and it has continued since.
Her training in Classical music began at the tender age of 12. Initially, she
started her lessons from Shri. Damodar Chari and thereafter from Smt. Alka Deo –
Marulkar for four years.
Further in Pune, she obtained valuable guidance from Vidushi
Padma Talwalkar for four years and is currently obtaining her further lessons from
Smt. Aparna Gurav, senior disciple of Vidushi Veena Sahasrabuddhe, since last three
years and a noted vocalist of Gwalior and Jaipur gharana.
Simultaneously, she is obtaining lessons from Smt. Shubha
Mudgal, a renowned vocalist of Gwalior Gharana and a Padma Shree recipient.
